[NCARC] HP 8558B Spectrum Analyzer for sale 0.1 MHZ- 1.5 GHZ range

Hi fellow hams-

 

I have for sale an HP  8558B Spectrum Analyzer with an input frequency range
from 0.1 MHZ -1.5 GHZ.  I have no need for this at this point and am making
room in my ham shack.   We did use this unit for some analysis work on the
145.115 and 447.275 repeaters back when I was actively involved with the
club as the repeater trustee.   This unit is in working order, and the

Attached are a couple of photos I just shot looking at the input to both
repeaters using my HT as the signal source.  According to the Keysight
technologies website, while it is obsolete-it is still supported by them.

Comparable models are sold on ebay for $525.00.  (See

I'd like to find a good home within NCARC for this and am willing to sell it
"as is" for $325.00.

 

Some history of the unit-I purchased this from a fellow R&D HPer ham in 2008
(Minor Cross, K7YJ who used to be at the Lake Stevens division of HP).  An
engineer who was on the design team for this device built this unit and sold
it to this ham in the 2005 timeframe.   I lent this unit to Eric Slutz
(N0EAS) for several years and I think he did some NCARC maintenance using
this unit.
