Shortened Repost of a reply to Ron's generous offer:
Hi Ron,
I'm John Wells, KB0NE, the technical chair for NCARC and very much
appreciate your offer of the hardware.
If you would like to get together at some point we could discuss in more
detail about what you have and it's usefulness to the club or other
individuals.
For one, the spec anny and tracking generator would be quite helpful for
checking out our errant .115 repeater on Horsetooth and other gear and I
would like to check it out before out next trip to the repeater site.
Right now I am store-housing NCARCs extra gear in my very spacious, dry
and mostly mouse proof barn. If you wanted to move out your hardware to a
little more convenient location I'd be happy to supervise the transition
and oversee the hardware's proper use.
One thing that we as the board had discussed was responsibility for
damage to the equipment and we would need to talk about this aspect too
since some of this gear is out of production and so forth..
I live a little closer to town than you.... approximately at the North
end of Taft Hill road, about 2 miles EAST of Livermore.
