NØTVQ Here, asking for some assistance.

If I can have you all spread the word about Courage Classic, and the
need for "helping hams", it would be appreciated. As you attend your
local club meetings, pass the word along.

The Courage Classic Bike Tour to benefit the Childrens' Hospital will
take place this summer, July 20-22, 2013, at Copper Mountain Resort.
The Foundation has asked for Ham Operators to help provide
communications for the Tour. In exchange, they provide us with food,
lodging, and shirts.

We need hams that can provide reliable 50W on 2M with a good 5/8 wave
antenna, 440 as a backup, and optional APRS setups. (APRS usually gets
you in a mobile position, but you might be asked to install your
equipment in another vehicle that is not your own.)

If you can't stay the weekend, then this year we will also have
additional available 1-day positions for July 20. Come the night before,
and be prepared to work first thing in the morning, then at the end of
the day, you're DONE!

Friday night before the Tour, the hams and other volunteers will be
treated to a complimentary dinner prepared by members of the Front Range
International Dutch Oven Society.

Hams that have helped with past Tours can tell you that this is a lot of
work, with a dash of patience and a sprinkle of creativity involved, but
it is one of the best volunteer jobs you can do this summer. We usually
have a lot of "repeat offenders".

VOLUNTEER button.
