[NCARC] ICOM IC-718 question

greetings all,

I was wondering if someone has an ICOM IC-718 working
with Ham Radio Deluxe or DX Commander via the CI-V
interface who would be willing to test a home made
CI-V cable for me? Or maybe show me your setup? or
if you have a spare CI-V cable laying about, let me
borrow it?

I've made 3 attempts to make my own ci-v cable and
have yet to get HRDeluxe to work and while it's quite
possible that I've messed it up all 3 times, I'm
beginning to wonder if there isn't a problem with
my radio rather than my circuits/soldering.

Of course, by now I could have bought a CI-V cable
for less than what it's cost me in parts and time
but where's the fun in that
