I did go to Estes Park for Ham-Con. I gave a copy to every Vendor present.

Without exception, every one who was not a local said: "What is the
address?"

Also, those people did not know who "N.C.A.R.C." was. Should we not spell
it

out for them? The trade-off will be smaller type.

I suggest that we add the physical address to the card. Also, if these
cards can be

mailed, how about the return address being printed on the other side? If
this is

acceptable, then what address should we print there?

Also, can Word print from a mailing list? I have never tried to print from
a mailing list

with Word so I do not know how or if it is possible.

As far as I was concerned, The ARRL Ham-Con was a bust. I wasted $25 on
admission
and went to what was supposed to be an Antenna Modeling presentation. This
was my
only reason for making the trip. The presentation never got to actual
modeling techniques
of any worth. Instead, the presenter discussed antennas themselves. He
presented one
basic formula on how to convert dBi to dBd, and he got that wrong! I
politely asked if he
had it wrong, and his reply was to say that he would look at it later! So
much for Experts
and their ability to convey information. Needless to say, I will never
attend another ARRL
Convention.

The number of Vendor tables was quite small. I heard there were 24 Vendors,
and that is
a pitiful showing for such a ballyhooed event.

My conclusion of interest to us, NCARC. Make certain that the presenter
provide meaningful
information on the topic advertised. If this is not so, our reputation
suffers, and we don't want that.
