HI guys and gals,

We have officially as of 0923 this morning been stood down for the High Park
Fire. It has been officially contained and a type 3 IMT brought in as of
Sunday Morning. The ICP is now at the campus for CSU at Pingree Park.

I have a heart felt thanks going out to all who volunteered, who responded
when asked and many who went above and beyond the call of duty in the hours
they put in.

We appreciate all the efforts and boring hours you may have spent on this
fire. I can tell you that Erik Nelsson and the folks at CSP, Rist Fire,
Poudre Canyon Fire, USFS and the Red Cross were VERY HAPPY with the fact we
were there and the service we provided.

I think we ALL learned lessons... I hope you kept notes and can share those
at a hot wash we hope to have. Will advise you as soon as we have a date,
time and location for that. We did some things very well , made it through
others and other things we can learn to do better next time.

But wait there is more. There is another fire burning just across the
Wyoming border. If is comes this way, we will be back at it again. Keep your
deep cycle batteries charged and your gear at the ready. We DO NOT have a
mission, but have been advised that we have a place in the new event if it
should occur by the Larimer County EM.

I think each one of you can be proud of what you did, regardless of whether
you felt it was productive or not. We made good en roads with our served
agencies and even tied in two more in the process. We were there to provide
primarily redundant communications as neither the Sheriff nor the other
local agencies had a great deal of faith in their own. We did have several
missions with fire agencies and the USFS and CSP.

I have been asked by Chris Meredith , Major NE Colorado State Patrol, Erik
Nilsson, the fire Chief's of both Rist Canyon and Poudre Park and the COML
from USFS to pass along their appreciation for good work by ARES D-10

Last but not least... If we do have another mission, we will be staging on
the 447.275. We will be making co-notification of the event on the ARES D-10
reflector. We will take those on the air first and as needed call using the
call tree for additional staffing...

THANK YOU for your participation, patience and your continued support of the
mission and the agencies we serve in D-10.

A Special thanks to NCARC for the use of the repeaters we used of theirs and
a special thanks to CSU repeater group for the use of their repeater.
