If you would like to receive an email when a visible pass of the
international space station will happen, go to this NASA page and fill
it out:

http://spotthestation.nasa.gov

You can see it out a window, but if you go outside, you can see that
it has a shape and is not just a dot. Binoculars would be good, too,
though it is too fast for most telescopes. There are several ham
features on-board as well, such as voice and packet repeaters.

You can also go to:

http://www.heavens-above.com

and put your location in and it will tell you *all* passes of the space
station and many other ham related satellite passes. The Iridium flares
are not as reliable as they used to be, but they are fun when they do
line up right, so give them a try as well. If you put your location in
as GPS coords, it is better. Then just bookmark that page and it comes
up with your location when you bring it up.

Cheers,
Rick, W0RCY
