Hi All,
I'll be giving the presentation at the NCARC meeting this Saturday and wanted to let you know what's in store.
It'll be a technical "chalk talk" on solar cell basics, but without the math -- I promise! It's an extension of the presentation I made several years ago on high-tech components, but this time concentrating solely on solar cells.
We'll cover how they work, what the industry buzzwords are, how to interpret manufacturers' datasheets, how to compare different products, and some hints and kinks about applying small cells and arrays in "energy harvesting" applications.
We *won't* discuss large-scale installations, how to install rooftop arrays, or whether solar or wind is better because those are not my areas (I provide tech support for a manufacturer of small solar cells and arrays).
Feel free to invite your ham and non-ham friends if you think they'll enjoy the topic.
Don't forget, the meeting will be at a different location, the Golden Corral on east Eisenhower (US Hwy 34) across the parking lot from Kohl's. See you there!
Thanks and 73,
Bob
