[NCARC] HELP WITH A RADIO

I am hoping to find someone that can help Mike Martinez (KF0CB) with an Icom
IC-207.  It's a dual band VHF/UHF mobile and is having shutdown problems
after some periods of transmitting.

 

For those you don't know Mike, he is one of the most senior hams living in
northern Colorado.  He's a world war two vet, having fought in the Battle of
the bulge.

 

I do component level work on computer circuitry but have never dove into a
ham radio and I wouldn't want Mike's radio to be the one I get to learn all
my mistakes on!

 

If you can help out by taking a look at it, I will make arrangements to get
the radio to you and then back to Mike.

 

It you would like to contact him directly, he is usually hanging out around
the CSU repeater (147.360)
