[NCARC] HAMFEST 2012 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - REALLY!

Everyone;

 

It's only 44 days until the NCARC's finest Hamfest ever!  We are in serious
need of volunteers so please think about helping us out.

 

If you login to the club website and go to the volunteer page, you can
access the volunteer assignment sheet located as an attachment.

 

We especially need:

 

PA Announcing:  Ed Lawrence really need 2 solid helpers.  One person who is
good at keeping notes on the day and helping Ed to stay on track with
announcements, etc.  also need one person good on the mike who can relieve
him from time to time.  This is an exhausting job for Ed - you will see what
we mean on event day!

 

Kids on the Radio:  WE NEED A STATION SETUP!  No one has volunteered to
bring equipment as yet.  We would like to see HF/VHF/UHF capabilities.  We
also need some young folks to help man the radio and to relate to the kids
who stop by and would like to try transmitting on the air.

 

New Hamfest Tours:  we really need 4 folks (we only have one) who can take
the "new to Hamfest folks" on a tour to meet the vendors and explain what's
going on.

 

News:

 

Southwest Antennas is attending!  They have purchased 6 tables and are in
the process of donating a prize to us.  They are out of Moriarty, NM -
that's over 450 miles away.  How about that for pulling them in!

 

We currently have 56 tables assigned so if you are thinking about getting a
table or two, you are going to want to do that soon!

 

I will be on the ARES net this evening so PLEASE GET AHOLD OF ME!!!
