This is going to two lists as there are folks not in the ARES D-10
list. See invite below.
If you wish to participate please send me your full name and the times
that you can be on-site (note the open times below.) If more people
participate we may be able to decrease windows of time and you should
plan on 2 to 4 hours in most cases.
_Two important notes: 1) You must be on a list to get on the NOAA/NIST
site in Boulder, so send me your full name and 2) *you cannot be on the
NOAA/NIST site with firearms on your person or your vehicle*, if found
you will not be allowed on the site, so leave your firearms at home._
Plan about 15 minutes to go through security.
If you wish to participate we have times open:
* Right now we have times starting at 5pm Friday evening through 6am
Saturday morning open.
* K0BAN Philip, KI6MPA Eugene and KD0MVA Monika have noon Saturday
through 5pm, expected to be on-site at 11:30am.
* N0AOL Justin, N0WAR Aaron and N7DQ Mike have 6am Saturday through
noon.
*_INVITE_*
The 12th annual SKYWARN Recognition Day (SRD) will occur December 4, 2010,
from 0000 to 2400 UTC. SRD is our way of saying "thanks"
to amateur radio operators who provide weather information
during hazardous weather. SRD is co-sponsored by the NWS
and the American Radio Relay League.
More information is available at http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/hamradio/
We plan to host the event this year if there is sufficient interest in
participation. Please get the word out.
We also could have someone in to do a dry run ahead of the event to make
sure the radio and
antenna are in proper working order. Thanks.
