[NCARC] NCACR CLUB UPDATES

1.     HAMFEST UPDATE:

 

We are beginning to get calls from our vendors for reservations at the
01/15/2011 Hamfest.  we also hope to have a number of demonstrations going
on as well.

 

The ARRL Colorado Section Chief (Jeff Ryan - W0RM) had accepted our
invitation to join us that day.

 

The NCARC website has a copy of our Hamfest flyer as well as a table layout
of the facility (look directly below the flyer).  I have changed the table
pricing structure which may cause some confusion.  We were offering
discounts for multiple table purchases but given the increased facility
costs we are incurring this year (compared to the last 6 years at the
Lincoln center), I have dropped these discounts from the web flyer.  Anyone
who calls and references to multiple table discounts from the flyers already
in circulation will be given that discount.  Please reference the $10.00 per
table price if you are speaking with other hams and are asked for this
information.

 

We still need a few volunteers but otherwise, we appear to be just about
ready for the big day!



2.     NEW BOARD MEETING (January, 2011)

 

The new Club officers will be meeting on January 8th, 2011 for their first
meeting of the new year.

 

The officers have asked me to find some folks who would be willing to work
on a short term committee assignment (60 days or so) to take a look at our
club from a past, present, and future perspective.  This committee would
provide the board with a report of their findings as well as making
recommendations to the board on such things as current processes and
procedures and future demands that may arise on the club and its' resources.
The board may also assign other tasks as well.  This should not involve a
large time commitment so please consider offering some help.

 

We would like to give the board the names of around 6 folks who might like
to help with this project from which they may  choose perhaps 3 to serve on
this committee.
