Hey Hams!
The CAST for Kids event is is coming up on Saturday, June 5th. CAST for
Kids is a morning fishing trip for handicapped kids, at Horsetooth
Reservoir, sponsored by the Bureau of Reclamation and a group of great
fishermen, who take about 30 kids out on their boats and teach them to
fish. We provide communications between the event organizers, park
management, and EMTs. We even have hams on boats. If you don't have an
HT, we can arrange one for you to use.
It all starts early Saturday morning and is over by noon. As radio
operators, we do no lifting or other physical work, just communication
and organization. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and we have a lot of
fun every year. This is a great event that you don't want to miss.
Also, June 5th is license-free fishing day.
To participate, email or call me at 970-556-2834.
Thanks,
Rick, W0RCY
