The coverage was phenomenal! We flipped the switch and called out test and
the first check in was a Cheyenne base station on 5 watts. We heard from
N0WAR on 5 watts mobile in estes park full slam into the repeater, and
KD0EXV (I think) from Greeley in the basement on 5 watt HT radio full slam
as well. I can't recall the callsign but there were some other folks from
the Loveland and Fort Collins area that were on HTs that were full quieting
as well with 5 watts.

I see no reason to argue putting up a repeater on that mountain! I would
like to think that as far east as Fort Morgan could bring that machine up
clearly since I have already been out there and brought up the 447.275 with
an HT standing on a concrete barricade. Couldn't hear all I was saying but
I was in there.

Buckhorn Mountain's radio site was just over 8000 feet elevation and has a
heck of a view into Cheyenne, Laramie, Red Feather Lakes, Cameron pass to
the west, Estes Park, most likely Denver Metro, and all points east.

I already volunteer to be part of the installation crew "when" we do
something...hopefully...maybe...yes? :)
