[NCARC] Buckhorn Facility Pictures

Hello NCARC folks!


K1TJ, KD0BER, W0LEV, and myself N0AOL, spent the day up on Buckhorn Mountain
having some fun testing 2m functionality in the Poudre Canyon from the
Buckhorn site with a portable event repeater from the club.  I was the
driver testing the canyon and had some pictures that others might like to
see.  When I returned to the site another Ham from down in the Denver area
had stopped by to check on some commercial equipment in the facility, and
once we finally got up the nerve to ask, offered to lead us around in the
big shack and check things out with him.

 

The most interesting thing to me was the 105.5 Jack FM 24.5 KW, yes KW, (aka
blowtorch) transmitter.

 

This is a 19 megabyte zip file to download, there are some duplicates in
there I think but what a neat site this is.
