[NCARC] propagation -- interesting echo on HF

Had an interesting thing happen this morning.

I was tuning around 40 meters CW and heard a station from Moscow,
Russia.
He had a very interesting echo effect going on.  I recorded it into my
PC
and brought up a program that lets me look at the audio waveform.
I figure the delay was 0.076 seconds.  That's about 14,000 miles
at the speed of light. 

Going to do a little more research.  I think maybe the echo was a
long-path
reception of the same signal, but 14,000 doesn't seem like the right
number
for longpath difference.
