I am forwarding this note at Bob Glancy's request to remind you of the
NWS/Skywarn recognition starting December 5th. During this event the
participating NWS locations will be providing HF/VHF/UHF contacts. Bob
is looking for a few folks to volunteer to come down to Boulder to run
the Boulder NWS Station. Even if you can't participate at the NWS
location, you are encouraged to attempt to make contact with as many NWS
stations as possible. The website listed below should be updated for
the Boulder information. If you are interested in operating from the
Boulder NWS office and the website has not been updated, you can contact
Bob directly at robert.glancy at noaa.gov

National Weather Service offices will again host the Skywarn Recognition Day amateur radio special event. This year the event will be held from 5pm on December 5th to 5pm on December 6th. Information on the event is posted at: http://hamradio.noaa.gov This has been a fun event with an opportunity for our Skywarn HAMS a chance to talk on HF to other Skywarn HAMS across the country. Could you please poll your group so we can start a log of interested Hams? In the meantime I will get NWS Boulder registered.
Thanks.
Bob
