Subject: Radio related question
Steve...My name is Mac McNeill and this is a desperation question for you.
I'm a local Fort Collins historian with a book that will be published in the
Spring. I have a photograph that I want to use in the book of a gorgeous
table radio from the 30s. I assumed all along that the caption would give a
little bit of information on the history of commercial radio in Fort
Collins - something as simple as "the first commercial radio station, KXXX,
started operating in Fort Collins in and fill in the date." But, no one
seems to know the answer. I'm working with the Fort Collins Local History
Archive and they don't know and haven't been able to find out. CSU doesn't
know. Nor do the other local historians that I've contacted.
I wonder, given your organizations interest in radio, if you might know? Any
clues would be helpful.
