[NCARC] NCARC fest information

A few statistics on the fest....while we don't have the final financial
numbers in yet for the NCARC fest last Saturday,(you need to come to the
meeting this Saturday to hear those statistics!)-- we know that we sold just
over 1150 tickets (both admission and raffle).   I'd personally estimate
that we must have had over 400 people attend the fest just judging from the
crowd size.  In addition, at VE testing there were 8 new techs, 7 generals,
and 8 extra class hams after the VE test sessions.

No matter what, however,  from a pure "let's have a fun and enjoyable time",
I think we had a resounding success for this hamfest!!   The "must be
present to win" prize giveaway along with the larger prize budget generated
a lot of interest and excitement-- and with the help of our three super ham
announcers-- Mike and Mike and Kevin --  the final prize drawing event was
quite a show.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the help of all of
the volunteers-- both at the day of the event and all the behind the scenes
planning, vendor contact, prize and food purchasing, etc.  Both Matt and I
want to personally thank everyone who helped in some way.  Please come to
the meeting so we can more officially celebrate our success-- we're meeting
this Saturday at the usual place and time.  Announcement to follow.
