Hi Northern Colorado Amateurs and those interested in Ham Radio-

Not to be missed!!   This Saturday December 20th, we're welcoming back Bob
Schmidt, WA9FBO.  Bob will be hosting a show-and-tell about four currently
hot technologies he is involved with in his career.  This should be one
interesting presentation!  For those who want to read up in advance, I've
included links to a few short articles on each of these at the end of this
email.

We will have our normal NCARC business meeting from 9:00 - 9:30, and then
Bob will start at 9:30 am.

Biography:

Bob was first licensed as a Novice (WN9FBO) in 1962 and currently holds an
Extra class license. He received a BS-EET from Milwaukee School of
Engineering in 1973. He spent his first 12 years as an engineer in
industrial controls and the next 20 designing and manufacturing repeater and
base station controllers. Bob is currently working in the R&D lab at IXYS
Colorado.  He is the owner of SCOM, Ltd., a local company that designs and
sells state-of-the art repeater controllers to hams, railroad companies,
airport authorities, and other commercial organizations.  His repeater
controllers run our NCARC repeaters as well as many other club stations in
the U.S.
