Hi,

Please forgive us if you receive this more than once.  We are working to 
sanitize the listing.  If there is someone not on the list who should 
get the word please let them and me know.  We are working to add western 
slope individuals and clubs.

There will be a planning meeting at the Larcfest in Longmont on April 
7th, at 11AM for the COQP.  We wil meet near the kitchen area.  Look for 
me in the blue cap.  The agenda includes the following.

1.  Status of planning
2.  County coverage
3.  Awards
4.  Counter Hunters involvement
5.  Date for 2008
6.  Questions/answers/comments

The Colorado QSO Party (COQP) is schedule for 1200 UTC 15 July, 2007 
until 0400 UTC 16 July 2007 (6AM to 10PM MDT).  The full 16 hours may be 
worked.  There is little other contest activity that weekend so there 
should be little competition for spectrum and should make more operators 
available for contesting.

There is a moderated Yahoo group for organizers of the COQP. You are 
invited to review and join the group at 
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/COQP_Organizers/.  Membership must be 
approved to control spammers.

The COQP has a website at http://www.ppraa.org/coqp/.  It is a work in 
progress but contains much information about the contest.  Please review 
it.  Shortly we will have a list of contest categories on the website.

We are soliciting individuals and clubs to cover counties in Colorado 
for the contest.  A county listing that includes rare counties is on the 
website.  The rare county listing is from the County Hunters.  We would 
like to cover all counties and especially the rare counties.  If you can 
cover a county, rare or not, pleae let us know at the email link under 
sponsors and awards on the website.

We are also soliciting individuals and clubs to sponsors plaques for the 
contest.  We already have five plaque sponsors and are expecting more 
shortly.  In the next few days we will have the prize categories listing 
on the website.  It can be used for selecting categories for plaques.  
There will be special categories as well.  If you would like to create a 
special category and sponsor a plaque in that category let us know.  
Plaques are $30.00 this year.  Up to three individuals may sponsor one 
plaque.  Plaque sponsors will be posted on the website and noted on the 
plaque.  Please contact us at the email link under sponsors and awards 
on the website to sponsor a plaque.

If you are interested in helping with the COQP in any way please let us 
know.  This is your COQP....we are just the facilitators so please give 
your full support.
