[NCARC] Urgent: NCARC needs your help!!

Thanks very much to the many folks who have emailed or contacted me to
volunteer for the NCARC fest next Saturday Jan 20th!  I think we are well on
the way to a successful fest already.   We need 14 additional volunteers to
fill the following positions.  I may still need to do a little bit of
swapping around also.  Please reply back as soon as you can so we can get
this plan settled.

Need:

6-7 am:
  - one person to get the coffee started and help with initial food/coffee
sales to the vendors.  Gives you an opportunity to buy something early, too!

7-8 am:
  - one person to help with initial food/coffee sales to the vendors.
Ditto-- gives you an opportunity to buy something early.

8-9 am:
  - a person to do talk-in (this is a pretty fun job but you might not be
able to do it from the inside of the building

  - a person to watch the vendor door / help check in any straggling vendors

  - two people to help sell food items at the kitchen

9-10 am
  - a person to do talk-in
  - two people to take tickets
  - a person to help sell food items
  - a person to make announcements from the podium

10-11 am
  - a person to take tickets
  - a person to help sell food items at the kitchen

12 noon - 1 pm
  - a person to sell food items at the kitchen

QST-

Due to unfortunate medical circumstances our volunteer recruitment has
gotten off to a slow start. We need your help to make this next NCARC
hamfest fundraiser a success -- This is a major fundraiser for NCARC and a
great way to give back to your club.  Contribute just 1 hour of your time
and help out our struggling organizing team.

We need additional volunteers in the following easily learned 28 assignment
areas.    Please reply back to steveh291 at comcast.net--  commit now so that
we don't panic even more (I already have enough gray hair as it is).  I'll
send out regular updates to let you know where we still need people.

1.	Table sales and table helpers.   Please consider getting a free table
with your admission and splitting the table with a buddy so that you can
volunteer somewhere else and go have fun looking around.  We have a *LOT*
more tables to sell.


2.	Talk in (monitor the 145.115 and help people find the Lincoln Center).
	6:30 - 8:00 1 person
	8:00- 9:00 1 person
	9:00-10:00 1 person
	10:00-11:00  (1 person to do talk in-- use judgement about whether it is
still needed)

3.	Need  people to sell tickets at the door and collect money in the
following shifts:
	7:30-9:00 3 people needed
	9-10 2 people needed
	10-11 1 person needed
	11-12 1 person needed

4.	Need people to stand at the vendor entrance to let people in and out,
take vendor registrations
	7- 9:00 2 people needed
	9:00-10:00 1 person needed
	10:00-11:00 1 person needed
	11:00 - 12:00 1 person needed

5.	Need people to help at the kitchen
	6:00-7:30 1 person to get the coffee started, do initial sales to vendors
	7:30-9:00 2 person to sell items
	9:00 - 10:00 2 people to help sell items
	10:00 - 11:00 2 people to help sell items
	11:00-12:00 2 people to help sell items

6.	Announcer
	Mike, N7MR will be doing some of the announcing, we need another 2 talented
hams to help spell Mike.  Schedule can be 	worked out in advance with Mike.

7.	VE testing - 9 additional VEs needed show up at 8:30
	Mike Hickerson and Leslie Hickerson will lead this up-- they need at least
9 VEs as we expect quite a crunch with the new 	change in requirements due
to arrive.
