For any potential instructors--- email me and I can provide a link so you
can review/download any particular chapter you might want to help teach.

Subject: Upcoming LRA/NCARC tech class: need instructors and students
Hi folks-
Update: We will be teaching a ham radio technician class this fall
sponsored by LRA and NCARC. This class will be held during October and
November on mostly Thursday evenings and a couple of Saturday afternoons.
Classes will start October 5th from 7-9 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, 600 E Swallow Road in Fort Collins. There will be a VE
test session conducted by Mike Hickerson, W0MBH to held at the end of the
class. Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested
in getting their technician class license. The class is free of charge but
those taking it will need to have a copy of the text (see below). About 20
have signed up already.
The LDS church Fort Collins Ward wants to set up an emergency communications
training using ham radio similiar to what the Loveland Stake set up this
last spring. They are encouraging and opening up this class to all
interested people in the area who want to get a tech class license.
Please contact one of us if you are interested in taking the class or are
interested in teaching a session or demonstrating an operating mode. We are
still needing some additional instructors (urgent).

I think you will find this a very rewarding endeavor. It also significantly
boosts the local population of trained ham radio operators who are
interested in the clubs and in ARES membership.
