Hi NCARC members-
Our November meeting will feature Virgil Leenerts, W0INK in a presentation
on why antennas work and specifically providing some good information on
vertical antennas. Virgil is a treasure of expertise-- please plan on
attending-- especially if you are interested in getting into HF or want to
add to your knowledge of antennas. Listed below is a summary of the topic
and some information about Virgil's background.
HF Vertical Antennas - An Update
A little bit of looking at HF verticals of the past and present with some
notes on just what makes antennas work. Following with my notions of how
verticals can play a bigger role for amateurs with some current available
technology to make an effective HF vertical for the amateur that needs a low
profile antenna.
