Hi folks-

Pete, KC0OBY and I will be hosting an informal PSK31 2M net this Wednesday
March 15th at 8:00 pm. We will meet first on the 145.115 repeater to
gather, and then move to 144.250 MHz USB to try PSK31.

Pete and I will each be using the digipan software so that we can try
running multiple parallel signals at the same time. I will be transmitting
PSK31 on 144.250 MHz and then we will try having stations position
themselves up and down frequency but within the passband of the audio around
144.250 MHz. Digipan software lets you observe and decode more than 10
PSK31 signals at a time. We're hoping that we can try things like--- net
control asking for a report and 10 stations can simultaneously send back a
report in parallel, etc.

You don't have to use digipan at all--- this is just an experiment. You can
use hamscope or other PSK31 software but plan on using the main 144.250 MHz
frequency.

see http://www.digipan.net/ for a free download. Here's a blurb from the
webpage:

Now, DigiPan 2.0 again changes how PSK31 tuning is done!

All stations on the waterfall are now simultaneously decoded, and the
callsign and text of each station is continuously shown on a separate
multichannel display. CQ calls are instantly highlighted in color, and color
alerts for any other two strings of text are also available. Since the
callsign and text of each station is already known, instead of clicking on a
signal to identify and contact a station, just clicking on the text or
callsign of the desired station will transfer it to the active Receive area
for a contact.
