Hi folks-
This next Saturday June 17th the NCARC is having our regular monthly
meeting. We have a returning guest speaker to talk about logbook of the
world. This should be of keen interest to those who enjoy the thrill of
making distant contacts, as well has of general interest to see how the
internet and ham radio continue to intertwine. Here's the info Mike sent:
"The Amateur community is using the Internet for many forms of
communication why not QSLing. eQSL and LOTW (Logbook of the World)
provide a means of digital QSLing and almost instant confirmation that
the contact occurred. Many organizations are now accepting eQSL and
LOTW as actual confirmation of contact for many awards. The intent of
this presentation is to show the eQSL website, how to register for
access and use the site. A future presentation will show LOTW and make
comparisons between the two different ways of QSLing."
Meeting time: Breakfast starts at 8:00 am
Regular meeting at 9:00 am - 9:30 am
Presentation: 9:30 am - 10:00 am +
Location: Golden Corral restaurant
901 E. Harmony Road (across from Sam's club)
Fort Collins
