just in case--

Hi, Steve.
Kathy's husband, Chris, KB0MNA, and sons are currently on Denali (around
14,000 feet, I think). Could you please forward this note to NCARC and any
other lists you can think of with folks who may be able to help Kath get in
touch with Chris?
I'm in Seattle right now, so away from my normal resources to help with
this. Sure would appreciate any help that you can give! I'm copying
Kathy's email address so that you have it.
Many thanks,
Kevin Bier, K7VI (ex-KB0EBH)

Hi Kevin,
I guess the satellite phone that Chris is carrying won't charge. He hooks
it up to a solar charger and charges it that way. But what he doesn't know
is that I read the manual on the phone is supposed to be charged at room
temp but the battery will not function well or charge at below 14 degrees
farenheit. He needs to know this information. He might not be trying to
charge the phone in the tent or keeping the phone warm.
Chris has his ham radio and it going to try and hit a repeater when he is
higher up. Do you know anyone in Alaska that can listen for him? He is
KB0MNA
I think he sent you his old ham radio that he used on the mountain last
time he went and it worked great. But it doesn't work right now and he has
that little icomm with him, which was his replacement to the other radio.
Thanks, Kath
