[NCARC] 145.115 status

Hi folks-

I'd like to thank Kevin Burkhart (WM0F) for his skill at 4-wheel driving,
and also to Scott Herres
N7JQQ for also offering transportation up to the NCARC repeater site. We
now have the 145.115 phone patch up and operational, as well as updated
programming for the 145.115 controller.

It's been quite a project to move the 145.115 to a new home, but thanks to
the help of a number of people and under the management and hands-on help of
George, AB0SF, I think we are now back to the same level of capability we
were at before we moved the 145.115 from it's old location back last
November-- with of course a savings of about $1200 per year due to a better
site rental situation.

Subject: Need a ride up to the Horsetooth repeater site

Howdy-

I'm wondering if anyone has a 4-wheel drive vehicle who can tranport me
to/from the Horsetooth repeater site sometime in the next week --preferably
Sunday Jan. 2 or Monday Jan. 3? I need to swap out a 7K controller on the
145.115. The entire trip from South Fort Collins will take about 3 hours.
It usually takes about 45 minutes to get to the site, about 30 minutes to
swap out and test the repeater controller, 45 minutes to get back, and 1
hour "unforseen problem" time. This is a great opportunity if you want to
take a tour of the repeater site and see a good view of the front range.

Thanks,

Steve Henry
