I am "responsible" for communications at the Courage Classic Bike Tour =
(www.couragetours.com) coming up in July, in the Vail / Leadville / =
Frisco area. While the Vail repeater (146.61) works well on the North =
Face of the continental divide, communication is spotty towards the =
south (Leadville area.) The owner of the repeater has informed me that =
he has a 440 repeater tied to the 2m system, but has been unable to get =
it to function correctly. It transmits okay, but receive has not been =
working. He suspects a PL problem. If we are able to get the receive =
side working, he will point his beam towards the Ski Cooper facility, =
where we would like to temporarily install another repeater to cover the =
southern side of the continental divide. This second system would link =
via 440 beams to the first.

I am looking for a volunteer to help us get the Vail 440 working. =
Frank, N=D8AFO, the owner of the 146.61 repeater seems to think it's a =
minor problem. Is there somebody out there that could help within the =
next week or so to get the system working? We (the Courage Classic =
radio team) would greatly appreciate any help.
