Yes, dust off those KDK's, Cleggs, 37A's, and whatever else you might have
laying around for the 1.25cm band. I finally have my repeater up on the air.
Thanks to all who have helped me with getting this pig going.

                 AB0SF/R 224.520 TX 222.920 RX 100.0 Hz CTCSS.

The machine still needs a bit of tweaking on the RX end. Your VX-7 will not
work, but I will address that shortly. Add another 6-10 dB to your signal
and a unity-gain or better antenna, and your chances are better. The antenna
is in a temporary location at the site, so coverage will not match that of
the '115 and '275 machines. Still, I am able to key it and hold it in parts
of Cheyenne and Denver with 25 watts and a 5/8 wave mobile whip.

If you're interested, the equipment is as follows:

Transmitter: Maggiore Electronics 25 watt, crystal-controlled
exciter/amplifier.
                     Turned down to 20 watts.
Receiver: Maggiore Electronics first generation receiver.
Controller: CAT-200B w/serial interface. No autopatch.
Link radio: Soon to be a solid 440 rig such as a HTX-404, GP-300 or GM-
                      300. If you have one of these and would like to
sell/trade, let me
                      know.
Duplexer: Wacom 652, 4-cavity Band-pass/Band-reject. <90 dB isolation at
                     1.6 MHz separation.
DC Power: Astron RM-35M. Yes, I know it's overkill.
Antenna: Hustler G-7 220. I'm taking bets on how long this stick will
last,
once it's on the tower. It's a nice design and well
built, don't get me
wrong, but it's belongs on a short tower on the Front
Range, not
the top of a windy, Rocky Mountain foothill. I'm saving
my pennies
for a dipole bay, or a good fiberglass stick, such as a
Celwave or
Hustler Spirit series. Donations are welcome. At $800,
I'll need all
                     the help I can get.

Future plans for this machine is to connect it part-time to ILink. I have
the board, just will need the link rigs and time to wire it up.

George, AB0SF
