[NCARC] BPL Here? (Broadband over Power Line)

Folks,
Does anybody know if BPL (Broadband over Power Line) is being tried or
implemented in our area? Hope not. The interference potential for HF and
low-VHF spectrum is disturbing. (S5-S9 broad spectrum noise) If you are
not familiar with this spectrum threat [BPL] you can read more about it

The article also has 2 MPEG movies featuring Ed Hare, W1RFI, ARRL Lab
Manager, running some field tests--it isn't pretty.
The MPEGs are big 22Mb and 7Mb. If there enough interest I can bring a
notebook computer to the next meeting and show the video(s), they are
about 5 minutes long.
