QST, QST,QST TO ALL RADIO AMATEURS !!!!
As most know or should know by now, we have a major fire event in Larimer
County at this time. It is located west of Pinewood Spring in the southwest
part of Larimer County near the Boulder County Line. It is currently about
14oo acres. There is also a downed aircraft tanker that crashed about 1900
hrs this evening which has started yet another fire at the head of Lyons
Gulch.
Larimer County office of Emergency Management has advised us to stand down
for tonight. However do expect to have assignments for us bright and early
in the AM. We have had a number of hams already let us know of their
availability for this call out. If you are one of them we already have you
on shift list that we will be working on implementing in the first waves. We
will however require additional relief shifts. If you are available for
subsequent shifts, have a mobile radio with 50 watts or greater, and would
be willing to do an 8 hour shift, please either contact me on the 145.115 or
if I am unavailable there or you just wish to e-mail the information to me,
Please e-mail me at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> . Please give me
your:
#1 Call sign
#2Radio capabilities
#3battery back up capability
#4 if you have a beam antenna and a mast to put it on,
#5 what your time availability is
#6 contact numbers where I can reach you.
I realize we have a swap fest being put on by NCARC we are attempting to
schedule around peoples commitments there and elsewhere. Please let us know
if you have such commitments. Please let us know of any limitations or we
can only assume you have none.
We appreciate your support and your patience as we endeavor to raise
resources, have frequencies available for the event and attempt to serve the
agencies involved.
Thanks and 73.
