NCARC Superfest 2002 Security Detail

This is a longer message being sent to all people on the NCARC reflector.
I am still looking for a few people for the overnight security, as well
as for people on the list below to sign up for a time slot.
Door security is starting to concern me. We can close the large doors
and make due with fewer people, but the room gets uncomfortable if we
do that for too long. Its an easy shift and will really help out.
Those on the list can expect a phone call from me early next week to
remind you of the duty and your assigned time. So please make sure
I know your phone number (not listed here, but I already have a number
of the already).
As stated at the meeting last month. Setup will begin at 4:00pm and will
probably only take an hour. Maybe less if we get enough people. We need to
set up the tables and chairs for the vendors. Tear down later that
afternoon is similar and is always understaffed.
VOLUNTEER LIST:
Please note that all people who work at least one shift (either overnight
security or door guards) receive free admission to the fest.

OVERNIGHT SECURITY:
Planned to be staffed by volunteers.
Currently we have 10 people signed up to work the overnight security
detail. According to an initial plan (outlined below) we need 10 people
to staff the night shifts. Each shift requires at least 2 adults and the
people signed up should show up no later than 15min before their shift
is scheduled to begin and are expected to stay until relieved by either
the next shift or the morning crew.
We should have a talk-in radio set up on friday to help the current crew
know when someone is coming and can then open the door.

EVENT SECURITY
Staffing Volunteers
There are two side doors as well as the main entrance doors. The main doors
have always been covered by the people taking tickets. The other doors
need to be staffed by our group. Usually we have a schedule of approx
2hr per shift from 8:00am to 1:00pm (or until the fest is over).

All the tables and chairs that were set up by us need to taken down. Also
the room will need to be swept.
