[na0tc] No club meeting 7/5, remote station tower, TechNet host, and Field Day

Hi all,

I hope this finds everyone well and finding time to play radio!

A few newsy items for you, in case you missed them on our groups.io channel

1. No July club meeting: our next regular club meeting will be August 2nd;
we’re planning a POTA activation at Chatfield like we did last year, except
in August instead of September since the weather in Sept can be dicey. That
weekend is also the Colorado 14er event, so there should be be plenty of
folks in the field looking for QSOs! More details to follow.

2. I just posted a bunch of pics of the remote station tower project up on
the groups.io channel; check them out! It’s not complete but we’ve made a
whole lot of progress…stay tuned! Thanks to everyone who pitched in on this
project.

3. TechNet: our esteemed TechNet host Robb has decided to leave the country
for 2 weeks, so we’re looking for someone to host the net on 7/1 and 7/8.
I’m happy to host but if someone would like to try their hand at hosting a
net, let me know! We have a script, etc., to make things pretty easy for
the net controller. It’s a lot of fun. Really! :-)

4. Field Day: we’re joining up with the QRP Club out at Starhaven Ranch in
Strasburg this weekend; details are on the club’s groups.io channel.
