Hi all,

TechFest is coming up soon and I'm very excited for the event. We have a
great set of speakers lined up and thanks to everyone who has volunteered
to help make TechFest a success. We also have some great door prizes
including a Yaesu FT-4X HT and $100 in ARRL gift certificates, plus an
Arrow 6 meter Yagi (thanks Jed!).

There are a few things that I could use some help with.

1. We have advertised that we're going to have a "demo corner" with folks
showing various ham radio-related things. So far I don't think I have
anyone that's come forward to volunteer something to show off, so if
everyone could do some brainstorming on this, I'd appreciate it. I also
wouldn't be opposed to having a table with items for sale, so long as the
sellers are prepared to label everything clearly and handle taking payment,
etc.

Here are some potential topics for the demo table(s):

- Remote station demo (FT8?)
- 3D printing
- SOTA setup
- Microcontrollers
- Fox hunting
- Digital radio/hotspots
- etc

So if you could put on your thinking caps and let me know if you have an
idea for the demo table (and are willing to staff it during breaks/lunch)
I'd appreciate it.

2. Also a reminder that I could use a couple of folks to help out with
audio/visual during the event, ranging from taking pictures to monitoring
the video recorders to wrangling speakers.

3. And most importantly--we need to *SPREAD THE WORD* among the local ham
community! I've already reached out to the DRC, PRA, and Indian Hills radio
clubs but if you could help by letting everyone you know about TechFest,
I'd really appreciate it. *This is the most critical item of all to ensure
that we have a successful (and profitable) event this year!*

If you need more info on TechFest, including a PDF flyer you can share,
you'll find it on the club website: https://na0tc.org/doku.php?id=techfests
