This Wednesday Feb 28th is the next BARC Tech Night. The presentation is:
“Spurious Output and Chinese Radios”
you do not need be a club member to attend.
51 South East Street
Bellbrook, OH 45305
park behind the school.
A short PowerPoint presentation will be given explaining what spurious transmissions are, and what restrictions the FCC mandates on this. Then we’ll switch to a live demonstration of how to test and evaluate radios spurious emissions.
After the live demonstration, we will then begin a Hands-On testing of radios brought in by attendees. Bring in any portable radio you want, Chinese, Japanese, or whatever for testing.
Unlike the previous antenna testing presentation (doing A-B comparisons)… proper test equipment will be present to verify spurious output (if any) that exceeds FCC mandates.
Starts @ 7pm promptly; Wed Feb 28. This will not be an all-nighter; the initial presentation is only about 30 minutes.
Thanks to Bob French for getting the Tech Night train back on the rails.
