Yeah, I tend to agree.  At this point I'm just waiting to hear back from my friend.  I believe he said the guy he needs to speak with is on vacation this week, so I don't expect to hear anything until next week at the earliest.

I will say, access to the building is a pretty big "if" in my mind.  I figure, if I can get a meeting with the appropriate individual, I can sell the idea (Win really likes community service types of things), but getting that meeting is the difficult part.  It kind of depends on how accurately my friend conveys what I told him.  If he forwards the links I sent him, to AREDN and MVMA, and conveys that it's a voluntary community-service emergency communication activity engaged in by licensed amateurs, it's probably doable.  On the other hand, if he boils it down to "my friend wants to put an antenna on the roof, do you have any interest in talking to him?"  This idea is dead on the vine.  Haha

We shall see.
