Watch video to see what hurricane Ian did to the area I was in.
It is noteworthy to mention that
- Many/most street signs were down or lost. You may need GPS
mapping to navigate unfamiliar areas.
- A nearby Cellular tower's antennas were damaged. You and your
neighbors may lose mobile service.
All but T-Mobile lost service in the neighborhood.
- Days after the storm rivers flooded highways and byways that
were open immediately after the storm.
Ingress/egress (supplies/evacuation) routes may need to be
re-evaluated day-by-day.
- In North Port, FL, all shelters were at primary
schools...likely that there were no bathing facilities.
Had the shelters been in High Schools, they would likely have
showers.
My sister had T-Mobile. She walked around the neighborhood offering
health/welfare phone calls.
