Yes, the DRA-50 does VARA and Packet 9600. I am using a DRA-50 on W6CDR-10 in Vandalia. The SignaLink is limited in speed although you can tweek it to work on 9600 (it doesn't get full speed but I have run mine at 12 kbps).

I misread the original question, though. VARA does only run on Windows, but I have seen people run Linbpq on Linux and communicate with VARA on a Windows system.
