I have no problem with you representing MVMA, Chuck. The “interim” was supposed to be part of a somewhat complex reorganization that never happened. We’re still nothing more than a BOGSAT with the small remains of an original DARA grant.

MVMA is not in the position to incur a recurring expense such as insurance, nor is it able to assume liability. With all its equipment replacement on top of the climbing costs, the West Xenia water tank site became a de facto recurring expense we couldn’t afford to continue to fund. I see the Inverness water tank in the same light, with insurance vs climbing costs, along with not only equipment there, but at DARA as well.

Just my opinion,

I think you, Chuck, are an authorized representative based on the election (I did not know it was interim?).

As far as insurance, MVMA is not a club and is not incorporated and does not collect dues so I am not sure how we can get insurance since that is not a one-time cost but a recurring expense.

My thoughts....

Thanks!

I wanted to touch base with you regarding the use of the tower.

  1. Who has the authority to sign agreements on behalf of MVMA? The existing agreement expired in June, 2021, so we are getting a new agreement drafted, but it would need to be signed by an authorized representative of MVMA If it is you, then please email me your current address and phone number so I may include that in the new agreement.
  2. We will require MVMA to have liability coverage for the equipment and work on the tower. Mr. Rollert may be able to give you some direction on that.
  3. We will store a tower key at the police station, so anyone working on the weekend can stop into the PD to pickup the key.

1.
A few years ago I as elected 'interim president'.
Shall MVMA vote on this authority.
Shall MVMA cover the expenses of the liability insurance?

2. I will contact Wynn.

3. This seems to be an comfortable policy of access.

Chuck
