Nostalgic packet radio BBSs still exist and try to maintain as a
resource to national
communication. Glenn N3MEL, a Pensylvania ARES appointee, is promoting a
monthly national packet radio net accepting check-ins via BBS messages.
There were 36 check-ins in March.

I have a Packet BBS with HF, internet, and SHF access as a service on
our local AREDN network.

If you wish to add another monthly network check-in your your list, I
would be glad to assist
with an account on my packet BBS accessible via AREDN network or over
the internet.

I have place a modified 'Packet Net check-in generator' web page on
nc8q-server.
I added mode:'AREDN' and type:'Monthly check-in' to the html form.
