My definition of mesh is when
more than 2 stations share the same band-space and
any one of them can hear more than one station.

Examples:

In November 2017 I noticed that the MVMA network had 32 stations on
2397 MHz.
Many of the high-profile nodes could hear other high-profile nodes and,
perhaps, one or more users.

Later, a 5 GHz mesh network was established from N8JJ to N8DCP to
Xenia-2ndSt to WA8APB.
This was a mesh network because there were more than 2 stations sharing
the same band space.

A 900 MHz node was established at N8DCP and linked with N8JJ. This was a
point-to-point linked network.
Later, when AB8XA also joined the band-space, this became a mesh network.
-----

If a point-to-point link were to be established between North Xenia and
MVHS, this would create a
redundant (thus also resilient) network, but it would not be a mesh
unless more than 2 nodes shared the same band-space.
