Hi, Bill:
I think the majority of the node broadcasts only update direct (RF,
DtD, tunneled) neighbor nodes.
Occasionally the broadcast is carried to neighbor's neighbors.
Rarely is the broadcast sent to the entire network.
Although, after starting from a cold boot, it only takes a minute for
the full network to appear.
A test would be to test 2 nodes that have no neighbors or DtDs or tunnels.
Then test the nodes after they are connected to our network via DtD or
tunnel.
How much does the extra data from routing broadcasts affect the throughput?
