Area Meshers:

  At our last meeting it was mentioned that the Greene County EOC would like
backup internet access and backup telephone service.

  Backup internet access is easily configured on our mesh devices by simply
checking the 'Advanced WAN Access : Allow others to use my WAN' box and
rebooting the node. Maybe not so easily achieved as we may need to
improve our RF linking. :-|

  A basic backup telephone access has been set up using my PBX and home
PSTN.
(autonomous 'phone-patch')

*Any NC8Q-rasPBX registered phone can dial-out to the PSTN*, if I am not
on my home phone.

 From the MESH phone, dial 79-NXXNXXXXXX where NXXNXXXXXX is a 10 digit
PSTN number.

  Dialing into my home number can be auto forwarded to any one
NC8Q-RasPBX registered
phone after the second ring. (CallerID is transmitted between the 1st
and 2nd ring,
so this allows the 'dialed-in' CallerID to appear on MESH phone).

  Next step would be to obtain a (new) VoIP account with a (new) PSTN
number and free my home PSTN.

/ Setup uses an ATA device with an FXO port (*) and requires://
/

  * /a mesh node linked into the local mesh with available LAN port//
    /
  * /at a location with internet access/
  * /a VoIP SIP account.
    /

  This service is portable within the above parameters.
