[MVMA] Mesh Discussion Net

I was not around when the Mesh Discussion Net was created. Was there a
specific purpose to the net? I think that one reason the traffic on the net
is low is that the MVMA Mailing List is very active so at least I feel
pretty up-to-date on MVMA goings-on.
Perhaps an alternative, if the net is no longer meeting its purpose or in
addition, is to have something over the mesh. Perhaps a Winlink check-in
via mesh to Chuck's (NC8Q) mesh Postoffice? That would allow people to use
their equipment and test the system. Or maybe a teleconference with Zoom
(or other business telecom websites) using mesh to connect to the Internet,
although that might stress the system too much, perhaps just an audio
teleconference?
Anyway, other alternatives using the mesh system would be one way to
encourage people to use the mesh network and test their setups.
