I know some MVMA members have a Bullet+L-Com or NanoStation M2 (NSM2) but have no 12V/24V PoE, rechargeable batteries/charging, portable elevated mounting, available VoIP phone, or available notebook and recharge for it. I have
ready-to-go deployableoff-grid node setup(s) (I don’t count a bunch of gear that might be thrown together at the last minute). Moe et alia:
I have no 'off-grid' and no rechargable batteries, yet. I have one POE
for a mesh node.
I have no off-grid power for my IP phone nor laptop.
I have the rest of the items 'in a box' and often set it up on weekends.
My 'mesh-go-box' needs
* 120vac and either an internet connection or
* 120vac, the tri-pod mount and the 2 two-by-fours and the mast in the
garage, a large phillips screwdriver, and an adjustable wrench
(What I used at Maker Faire 2018).
OTOH, I do not expect to be deployed to a shelter location either.
I do not expect to be invited to support or liaise with the Red Cross's
"Safe and Well" service.
If these items were to become more likely, I would likely accelerate my
'off-grid' efforts.
Currently, I feel that an off-grid mesh capable station would be a
solution in search of a problem.

We’ll ensure you get time at an MVMA meeting, and even consider relocating said meeting to accommodate your demonstration if you can’t do it remotely during the meeting or video it. Are you then willing to participate in testing and mapping areas in the Miami Valley where it works or doesn’t? …with an 8’ tripod or a 30-40’ guyed mast?
