/ABOUT: A group of Amateur Radio operators promoting high speed(1)
Wireless networking using low cost commercial devices ‘flashed’ with
open source firmware in the Miami Valley (‘Greater Dayton’).
Specifically the devices supported by the Amateur Radio Emergency Data
Network(2) firmware./
//
/The purpose of the alliance is to promote a resilient high speed
network supporting emcomm/auxcomm applications such as, but not limited
to: IP (video) telephones, IP cameras, chat servers, file servers, web
based services, … Anything that can be transported using the internet
can be transported by this network./

Overheard at the Saturday meeting:
It seems to me that it is being stated that one or more active
MVMA'ers are building networks that "/are not mesh/".
Is the Miami Valley Mesh Alliance (MVMA) about *promoting* high speed
wireless networking
or
are we about *installing a bunch of nodes that 'looks like a mesh' *to
one member?
I cannot fathom how by assembling a network of AREDN firmware nodes in
some fashion
or method makes them "not mesh". :-|
