“A day after that, Tim Procuniar changed the SSIDs and broke that for John… “ I set the SSID’s back to what they were for the past couple of years."
John W and I worked to gain him success. He was finally able to see nodes from his QTH.
And tonight John W asked for him & me to get together and discuss what equipment he might purchase for his home; so your account doesn’t make sense. He’;s not meeting with you for any advice. “Tim went vigilante, seized the MVMA nodes,” How is putting them back… to the way they’ve ran for years and giving th enew settings password to Bill… “seizing”?
I only changed the settings password; and all MVMA nodes (except for two I couldn't get into) were back operating like they had been for years. I never held any password or node hostage. Instantly gave the new setup password to the head person once I had finished.
"then took his toys and went home."
They are my personal property;I'll do whatever I want with them.
To everyone reading, I sent Moe an email about 6-7 weeks ago, telling him to stop making changes to any of my personal nodes... without getting approval from me first. During this straightening-out of the MVMA nodes (to make success of gaining another warm body)… I found two of my personal nodes had new firmware installed. Like most of you, I do not jump aboard any new firmware releases … instead waiting it out for a few months to see if there are any reported issues; then considering the upgrade.. Someone getting into my personal nodes, ignoring my directive, and changing things… was the last straw. I strongly suggest any person in the MVMA to change your personal nodes settings passwords… and not give this out to anybody. Not even me or Bill, or JJ, or Chuck. Keep it to yourself.
