1. I 'd like to swap Moe's "can't" with "it is poor practice". I'll not
discount his reference to human nature, either.
2. True.
3. True. This makes water tanks, typically, an awkward site for any
style of linking.
The proposed configuration is equal to a common "point to multipoint"
configuration.
That the purpose or use of the LAN is for linking rather than
server_to_multi-client is not relevant.
However, what Moe points out in "2." is true in theory and practice. The
suggested configuration
will not be as effective as 100% 'point-to-point' clear channel links.
Look around our mesh and you will see several linking sites with more
than 5 'neighbors'.
They don't work well, either.
