 I arrived Sunday, early in the set-up period, and Phil Verret KA8ZKR
was already
there. Phil assisted with the 'mesh' set-up and also assisted with the
'DARA Truck'
set-up. Phil was ever present during all of the event's open hours and
helped
pack-up after the event. Thank you Phil.

  Again the MiFi device and WiFi router worked flawlessly. The active node's
tunnel worked well providing a 2 MB link to my home station. About a dozen
folks inquired about Amateur Radio WiFi networking.  In the afternoon,
Reuben
brought his new Titanium Bullet M2 and Phil and I assisted with the
loading of
v3.16.1.1 firmware. I recall Kevin W8KJ and Rob W8MRL from Butler County
visiting the booth. They are enthusiastic about starting AREDNMESH WiFi in
that area.

Epilog:

  The weather was very poor; hot and humid. There was an air-quality-index
alert Saturday.

  I believe the #1 reason the 'general public' visited the booth was the
large
screen TV/monitor(*). The TV/monitor was outward pointing, toward the
sidewalk.
We had/have no signage, banners, flags, pennants, billboards, displays, or
public mission statement to catch the attention of the passers-by.

  It seemed to me that none of the visitors noticed the 10 foot mast
with four
attached Nanostations. Some visitors expressed that they thought that this
activity was expensive. So, pointed out the $49 locoM2 dual stream WiFi
device
top mounted on the mast.

  I think we should have had a 'visitors log'. :-|

(*) The 'Mesh map' seemed to be the most popular item to draw folks off the
sidewalk toward the booth. I think because they recognized that it was a map
and perhaps they recognized it was a map of the local Dayton area. Perhaps
the colored dots and pretty colored lines were a draw, too.
